There has been a significant increase in phishing emails and compromised accounts.  Please be diligent and alert when reading email.  If there is any doubt, you may contact any member of ITS staff for confirmation on whether a message is legitimate.

Some additional reminders about phishing is available here: http://www.wesleyan.edu/its/security/phishing.html

If you do click on a message and are concerned, please change your Wesleyan password immediately and report it through service.wesleyan.edu.

There were two prevalent phishing emails that circulated widely through the Wesleyan community.  One from meisner@wesleyan purporting to share a document via Dropbox and one claiming to be from payroll with a disguised link.  Neither are legitimate.  Please do not click any links.  If you you do click the links, please change your Wesleyan password and notify ITS via service.wesleyan.edu.

ITS is working on an issue which has disrupted many services including WFS.  Some are offline and others are very slow.  We are in the process of restoring them now while we continue to research the root cause.

Update – Internet service restored as of 11:15.

ITS is addressing a problem with Internet connectivity.  This affects all services and sites off campus.

ITS will be performing network maintenance on Sunday morning, October 23, between 7:30 and 10:00 am.  We expect network disruption during this time.  Please refer to Twitter or Facebook for updates and notices should unanticipated problems arise.
